Hi all,

I have created a database 10gR2 and set the open cursors to 1000. But the remote users are getting ora-01001 invalid cursor error while connecting the database from the application software(which I have not worked with). All I can think of for this error is the max cursor limit and it is set to 1000 already.
Not sure if there is any other fixes for this error.
Any suggestions?

Thank you!

No this is not the reason.
If the error is "invalid cursor" then you gave an invalid cursor to Oracle.

You may get this error if you attempted to use cursor before opening it for example doing a %rowcount before opening your cursor. This may also happen if your application is attempting to manipulate data without adhering to limitations and guidelines of your application data provider. I do not Know which provider your application is using in which development environment.
