Hi All,

Can someone let me know what the major impact of UNDO Tablespace?
I have clone the PRD DB to TEST DB which SGA size of TEST is lesser than PRD DB.
Now the problem problem is i'm getting "Snapshot Too Old" in TEST DB if DML statement executed. FYI Undo TBS for TEST is higher than PRD DB but retention period same.

Please let me know what could be the problem. Thanks

Always post your Oracle version (4 decimals).
UNDO tablespace behaviour changes with version.

When you don't understand something try Database Concepts, 95% of your questions are answered there.

But both DB is same version Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0 .

It may as for all other components, Oracle tries to improve them at each version.
