You have toknow why the process terminates.
Is there something else in the trace file?
Is there any other traces with about the same timestamp?
Is there any message in alert.log?
Is there any version of your Oracle installation?

Regards
Michel

all the processes indicate the same error. I susppect it to be log switch waits or something to do with the configurations of the log files and standby.

did your try to startup after clean shutdown.
