my database is running Ora 8i on NT platform. when i go for starting the database error coming

SVRMGR>startup

ORA-01545: rollback segment 'RBS0' specified not available

i checked the init.ora file there is entry in rollback_segment parameter. what should i do .pls help

Hi,

Remove this rollback segment from your INIT.ORA file, startup the database, and investigate what is wrong with RBS0. Maybe somebody dropped it and it needs to be recreated.
